Water and optimum pH balance

One of the foundations of Optimal Health is maintaining the correct pH [potential of Hydrogen] balance in the body. The pH scale is from 0 to 14. 0 is the most Acidic, 7 is Neutral, and 14 is the most Alkaline.

Our bodies are made up of 70% water, and a healthy body is slightly Alkaline, with an optimum pH of 7.5 - when testing saliva. Higher pH values allow the absorption of more oxygen.

A pH-balanced body is Healthy, Energetic and Vibrant. Any slight decrease in pH will result in lower oxygen levels in the blood and, therefore, in the cells. Any drop in pH, is the beginning of a disease state, and affects when and how we age.

Unfortunately most of us are Acidic, due to our Western diet and the quality of water we drink.

But what about the quality of water?
